Guidelines

Please email your submission to ligelightpress@gmail.com The subject line: Submission – [Your Book Title] – [Genre]

Include the following materials in PDF or Word format:

1. Cover Letter / Query Letter

   • A brief introduction to you and your book.

   • Title, genre, and word count.

   • A short pitch or summary of your work.

   • Any relevant background, experience, or previous publications.

2. Synopsis

   • 1–2 pages summarizing the content, including key themes or plot (for fiction/children’s books).

   • For poetry or art submissions, include a brief overview of the collection or concept.

3. Manuscript Sample

   • Poetry: 5–10 sample poems.

   • Children’s Books: Full manuscript (text only) or a selection of pages if illustrated.

   • Inspirational/Education/Art/Dance/Entertainment: First 2–3 chapters or approx. 10,000 words.

   • Books in Spanish: Submissions are accepted in Spanish; include an English summary if available.

4. Optional: If you are submitting an illustrated work, you may include low-resolution sample images or links to your portfolio. Please do not send original artwork.

📌 Important Notes

• Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Please notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere.

• Do not submit full manuscripts unless requested.

• Response time is typically 8–12 weeks. We appreciate your patience.

• We accept both agented and unagented submissions.

• All submissions must be your original work. If previously published, include relevant details.
